The Manchester Chapter of TCF was started in February, 2002. Initially, meetings were held at the Elliott Hospital in Manchester and later that year moved to The Manning House at Brookside Congregational Church, also in Manchester.
The Manning House was once a private residence but upon Mrs. Manning's death, the house was donated to the church. The chapel and church were added later. When the Manchester Chapter of TCF was looking to hold their meetings at the Manning House, they learned that Mrs. Manning was also a bereaved parent, having lost her son at the age of 14. Upon learning this piece of history, the decision to hold our monthly meetings here was made.
We now feel a special connection to the Manning House and to Mrs. Manning as well. Where would be a more appropriate place to honor the memories of all our precious children?
